Make Deskie Your Homepage
If you are running Internet Explorer, simply right-click on the Deskie desktop, and choose 'Make Deskie Home'.

To customize Deskie with a different colour, background image and icons, you'll first need to sign-in to deskie, or if you're a new user, create a new account. Once you have done this, you can right click on the Deskie desktop, and choose 'Customize' from the menu to change backgrounds and settings. To add a new link to your Deskie desktop, right click on the desktop and choose 'new link', then fill in the required details. You can either provide and image for deskie to use as an icon, or let deskie search for one itself.
Access Your Deskie Anywhere
You can use the share address for your deskie (www.deskie.com/your_username) so you can visit your deskie no matter where you are, and share your deskie with others.
Create Your Own Deskie / Make a New Account
In order to make your own personal Deskie, you first need to sign up with Deskie, by opening up www.deskie.com and clicking the "login" link in the top right hand corner of the screen. You can then click on the link to register, and fill out hte required details.
Once your details have been verified, you can return to www.deskie.com and login with your details. You will also be able to access your customised Deskie page by visiting the address www.deskie.com/your_username so you can visit your Deskie anywhere, without having to log in.
Open Deskie.com With Each New Tab
For Internet Explorer 7, set your hompage to either http://www.deskie.com or http://www.deskie.com/your_username (see above), then press the Alt key on your keyboard to display window menu's. From the menu select 'tools' then 'Internet Options', then 'Settings' for tabs. Check the option to 'open home page for new tabs instead of a blank page' then click 'Ok'.
For Firefox, set your hompage to either http://www.deskie.com or http://www.deskie.com/your_username, then install this add-on.
